styling categories

hi could someone help me out please! I really need to know how to style categories, I would like them to have a similar style to the images they hold. so inside a box with a background a border that changes colour once hovered over. Also is there anyway to remove the count of how many imae are in the catergory? Please if some one can help me with this would really like to have this finished tommorow. I have looked at category module however I would like to stay away from that and edit using the phoca plugin.

Also does the theme for the plugin hold styles for the catergories part?

Hi, you can set the style per many different ways:

- in css
- in parameters
- in php code

to display it directly for a category, some php modifications need to be done
