Background slideshow

Hi there
I am using the Gallery module with the Bild template to create custom background slideshows. I am wondering if there is a way to randomly show the images. I am asking this because everytime you click a link on the site the slideshow starts over so you see the first image all the time. So if the slideshow was loading the images randomly it would be ok.
Another way could be if the slideshow wouldn't start over every time and was playing uninterrupted in the background.
I don't know which is easier random image or uninterrupted play but anyone will do.

Hi, I didn't do such customization yet, so cannot give any advice, if this is hard or not
