Need help with rights managment with ucp

Hi,
I do not understand the right management of phoca gallery. What I need is that users shall only use the user control panel to upload images. I created the following category structure:
main_category
->Sports (user sportsmanager)
->Tennis (user sportsmanager, tennis)
->Football (user sportsmanager, football)
->Events
->sub2-1
...

1. Is it possbile to give one user access to the main_category (sportsmanager) and all their sub categories without adding the user to all sub category rights (inheritance)?
2. Create groups of users (user football) and link them to the sub category (football)
3. I try to add one user to one sub category and activate the user control panel, but no category was shown, only after setting this user as owner, but this is only possible for one user?

1) user has own main category and can create subcategories there - they get access rights like main category but for current created, the access needs to be set (as there is allways the possibility, subcategory can belong to other main category or can be a main category, etc. etc.)
2) Groups cannot be an owner of category but groups can have rights e.g. to upload, delete, etc.
3) User must have main category
