Category menu not linking to the correct category

When I have a menu type Category view, and when I click the menu is not connecting to the correct category I chosed, but to another one. It happen when Search Engine Friendly URLsis selected in global configuration. So putting it to no, the categories are starting to work again. But of course I would like to use SEF URLs.

I read the suggested page referring to Sef here https://www.phoca.cz/documents/16-joomla ... -in-joomla, but it is about modules and plugin and as a solution is said to create a menu to component. But in my case is exactely the menu link from the component itself that is not working when sef is active! like here in the example

Despite the selected category is Europe, it's showing the albums of "World". Same behaviour selecting Asia mericas, etc. Any ideas? Thank you! Davide

Hi, check all the menu links to Gallery, if there are no in conflict, e.g. two links to one category with different alias, etc.

I checked but the menu are ok. There is only one menu linking to each category, and the alias looks ok. There was a jquery conflict that I solved with a plugin, but also now without conflict the correct categories are still not showing, so that was not the problem. I also tried to disable all the plugins and modules, but it's still the same. This is a quite important problem to me, because if it's not solved I cannot switch on SEF URLs! I don't know if it's my problem or a bug of the component, but I don't think it's my problem.
And actually I found out also another problem. If SEF URLs is activated, the list of images (category view) is not taking the parameters from the menu but from the phoca global options! So I cannot give a different visualization to each menu. While if SEF URL's is swithed off, everything is fine!

Now after months it looks like it's working, but I didn't change anything, I really don't know why
