Post by Geni0815 »

Phoca does not accept any characters that are allowed in the file system! With lots of pictures of me in this comment are in the file name.

If you don't want to get problems, you shouldn't use spaces or german Umlaute in filenames....

I get the pictures with the comment in the file name.
I only have problems with umlauts with Phoca
No problems on the webserver, and certainly not in Windows.
It would be nice if Phoca support this standard could also

These special characters control is known, however, has nothing to do with the umlauts.

We are in 2012 and UTF is an established standard in file systems such as databases. 8)
Phoca uses it only in the file system does not have the database for anything else. The logical clusion for me is that it would be nice to support this Phoca pending patent.

Think about it a little bit

Hi, I am still waiting to implement support for utf on filesystem because from my experiences I know, many servers have problems with it :-( :-( ... if some program is open, you need to think about all possible problems (like webdesigners need to think about non standard IE browsers :-( ) but of course, it can be customized for your server, if you know, you have no problems with utf and filesystem, then just customize the code.

OK, this is a very good suggestion on where and how do I change the code?
