Facebook comments in Phoca gallery

Hi, I see now, testing it on my test server, get no problems there (with not publishing category)? Try to test if every permission is OK (if the images are published, authorized, categories are published, authorized, menu links, etc. etc.) Try to create a menu link to gallery, so you get standard link and maybe you get the right settings there.

Thanks Jan. The instructions that were given didn't help solve my issue. I had a similar issue with a different component. The solution that was given was to link directly to the menu id and not the component category id. Here is the string:
index.php?option=com_hikashop&view=product&layout=listing&Itemid=XX
where XX is the id of your menu.

What would the string be using the phocagallery component? Thanks in advance.

Sorry I don't understand, the itemid is added by Joomla! like described in the article

How can I test the permissions? I understand that Joomla creates the Itemid but the link that is created when you create a menu link links to the phocagallery category and not the menu itself. I believe if I can link to the menu itself it will solve the issue because I do not know of anything else I can possibly do. The SEF option doesn't really apply to this situation. The comments work on the images when you navigate directly from the nav tab (using the blog link) http://daydreamercreative.cloudaccess.net/blog.html but does not work when you navigate from a link within an article (shop link) http://daydreamercreative.cloudaccess.n ... ory/1.html. All of the images and categories are published so I do not know what the issue could be. Thank you for all of your help thus far I know we will crack this code soon.

I came across an extension called linkr that allowed me to create a link to the menu item and the image comments are working fine now http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... links/4010

Hi, sorry to up the thread but i have the same problem to connect description and fb Comments, i read the 3d but i didn't understand what should I edit in default.php, perhaps because i use the last version on Phoca Gallery (j1.5).
Hope you can help me.
