Thumbnail generation Joomla 2.5

I have an issue with thumbnails using the latest gallery component for Joomla 2.5

After generating most of the thumbnails I get the following message

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 80740352) (tried to allocate 20736 bytes) in /homepages/36/d378926350/htdocs/walney/nwnr-v2.5/administrator/components/com_phocagallery/libraries/phocagallery/image/imagemagic.php on line 214

I then have to cancel the creation of thumbnails to get back to the gallery control panel

Any ideas?
