hyperlink to modalbox slideshow?

Is it possible to hyperlink to gallery that would then open in a shadow box (modal box or any other type) on the same page?

For example, I have an article that says "click here to view students latest drawings". When visitor clicks on that word a modal box would open with images.

Hi, you can do this with help of Phoca Gallery plugin (but images are displayed in the content)... link in article does not have any javascript library which can then start detail window
