I think PhocaGallery is gerat with its functionality, but the themes haven't changed for years and seem not very fresh to me. It's a pitty.

Hi, mostly a lot of photo gallery extensions follows the look of phoca.

You can use:
- default settings (pngs)
- deault settings (gifs - the same design in 1.6, 1.7, 2.5 as in 1.5)
- different themes
- or create own theme
- or just the easiest way - customize or use prepared CSS 3 solution, e.g. like here:
