ShadowBox Runs and then Stops Working

I have searched through the forum and hope that I am not repeating a previous raised issue. I couldn't find anything outlining the problem I am experiencing.
I am running Joomla 1.7.3 with Phoca Gallery 3.1.1 and went through the migration process from Joomla 1.5. I am a bit of a Joomla newbie - been using it for a year - and when it comes to understanding PHP, etc. my knowledge is limited. I was experiencing problems with making changes in the Phoca Gallery Administrative end and having them reflect on the front end. I downloaded the default theme and that seemed to cure my problems except for one.
When I select Shadowbox as my detail page view, clean the cache and view my site - it is working fine. When I check the site again in a few minutes - ShadowBox is no longer working. When a picture is clicked on in a gallery - it opens as a single image on a blank white page in the upper left corner. I tried other detail view options such as modal box or slim box - it's the same. They work fine for a short time and then seem to "disconnect" and show the single picture on the white page again.
Does anyone have any ideas what may be wrong? Your help is appreciated.

Hi, tested many times without getting some problem, try to check cache, try to test it with other browser.

Or if you get the problem e.g. on firefox, look at the javascript console to see if there is no javascript error.

Thank you for your suggestion Jan and thank you for providing the Joomla community such fine products. I had a friend that was familiar with Javascript have a look at my site and you were right in your diagnoses. There was a problem - which has since hopefully been corrected. I appreciate your input and look forward to using more of your products.
