can not store a new category or display error

if anyone can help me, all the installation went well, but I can not keep a category that I made, or to display the contents of Phoca Gallery component is different from previous.and a button to save not appear
i hope that some one can help me, - i will give a nice smile

I have a similar problem with the Gallery on Joomla 1.7.X.

It does not want to save a new category.. the error is "Category needs a Title...

Any ideas.

This is my 1st use of Gallery on Joomla 1.7.X as I am using it very successfully on Joomla 1.5.XX

OK I've found my problem...

My stupid fault, but something which should be looked at...

When you install the Phoca Gallery via the Joomla Extension Manager, YOU MUST GO TO THE COMPONENT AFTER THE INITIAL INSTALLATION AND CLICK ON THE INSTALL BUTTON....

The reason is that this completes the install by creating the tables in the mySQL db.

I uninstalled the package and then reinstalled it and solved the problem...

My problem is that once you do an install but do not click on INSTALL inside of the component control panel the tables are not created, but you are not offered another option to create the tables afterward... Perhaps an option should be available for that if one "forgets" to complete the installation....

Hi, yes - to install Phoca Gallery, you need to click on "Install" button.

In case, which happened to you, then it is possible to run the sql queries (install.sql.bak file) in e.g. phpMyAdmin

Setting such feature as some button in Phoca Gallery will cause a lot of lost data because inexperienced users can click it and lose all their data
