I have already posted this question in Picasa Web board, but I don't really know where the problem is.
I'm using Phocagallery 2.8 (joomla 1.5) and storing images in Picasa web albums. I use a private server for my whole web, but for images. Everything was running fine until yesterday. As I said, I don't know where the problem comes from. The size for my real images is 1600px (I let users download them), and detail view is set to 640 px. Yesterday, I posted a new category and as usual I checked it from the front-end. Images in detail view appeared to be 512px and I wasn't able to get my 1600px images. Not only the new category, but the whole gallery was 512px all of a sudden.
I haven't made changes in the server nor installed or uninstalled anything, just published that new category. I've tried deleting it both in Phocagallery and Picasa web, but nothing changed. I've tried deleting more categories in both places, just in case I have too many images (about 5000 pics). I've tried creating a new picasa account and the problem persists. The fact is, I deleted enough images and categories to leave as many as I had when the gallery ran right, and nothing.
Does anyone know what's happening?
In case Phocagallery can't handle so many pics, can I install two or more phocagalleries under the same joomla?

I have the same problem.
You can't install more phoca galleries under joomla, and you don't have to.
They've (at google) changed something, so we get 512px images in Phoca Gallery.
the changes are described here: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/P ... 2a85&hl=en
I hope we get a Phoca Gallery fix for this issue!

Ok, so they said that you can get the size you want by adding it manually to the image.
Can this be done in Phocagallery? Setting it in "Images and Windows size settings" doesn't work, not even setting it to a smaller size than 512 px. It doesn't change the size at all.

Re: problems with Picasa Web albums
Thank you so much!!
I'm kind of a newbie in updating/upgrading components, because I always have problems when updating components and modules and so, don't ask me why. So once every year I do a clean installation of joomla with every component updated and no problem.
My question is, since I have a lot of categories in Phocagallery, how should I proceed to update to v2.8.1 with minimum risks? (I do backups from time to time, but it takes some time to reinstall everything and I can't afford doing so these days).
Do I follow these instructions? : https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... ca-gallery
Thank you again!!

Re: problems with Picasa Web albums
Upgrading has been easier than I thought. No problems.
The changes regarding Picasa images work!!! The only inconvenience is that I have to reload every album to get my 1600px images back again, but at least it works perfect.

Thanks Jan!
Yeah it works, and you have to reload every album which is kinda hard work if you have more than 160 albums, but I managed it!
