Having same problems here. We have been uploading successfully, now all of a sudden we are getting "not a valid image" errors. Images are all jpg and have all been saved with PhotoShop.
Using J 1.5 and Phoca 2.7.9. Folder permissions are 777.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Geoff

Re: Not a valid image
I discovered that I get the same error in Media Manager, indicating the problem may be a Joomla one. But what would cause this to suddenly happen? We have not reached capacity on our hosing plan.

Re: Not a valid image
Hello. I am having this same problem. We were uploading to the gallery fine for a while. Then all of a sudden it stopped allowing uploads. I keep getting a "Not a valid image" message. These are jpg images I have checked settings for allowed file types jpg among many others should be allowed. I have adjusted php.ini to allow larger uploads. The hosting plan allows for unlimited space. Nothing is working.

Hi, I think the GD library needs to be checked on the server (maybe the jpgs are damaged - they can be displayed e.g. on PC but not managed - e.g. with GD library on server
)
