Uninstall crashes site

Hi,
I am building a demo site at javdevelop.com. I want to uninstall the Phoca Galley component because it conflicts with the ARI vertical menu. But when I disable the component it crashes the site. An error message appears saying Phoca Gallery must be installed on the system. I am using the JA Social template for this site. Installed Phoca Gallery months ago just to try it out but ended up not using it. Anyone know why the system would be crashing and generating this error? Is it necessary to do something else besides uninstalling/disabling the component?

Hi, this message you get in case, you are using Phoca Gallery module or plugin which is active. It requires component classes. To hide this message just unpublish them.
