Good day to you
Last week I downloaded the 3.11 phoca gallery and additionally the nl_NL language files; up to now the Gallery works fine on Joomla 1.7.2.
Looking into the nl_NL files I find the translationjob has been done very poorly, inadequete and incomplete; it's not something you want your customers to confront with;
I decided to improve on the translation, spent quite some time doing the job and then ftp-ed the file to the server, in order to do some testing prior to sharing it with you.
However I find the new file is neglected by the phoca-component, phoca switches back to UK-langauge.
Re-uploading the files doesnot make any improvement; so I wonder can you help me out on this problem?
Kind regards, Wietze

Re: problem on revised nl_NL translation-job
Hi, sorry I don't understand? Phoca Gallery uses the language which is defined for the frontend - in frontend. So if dutch language is set for the site, Phoca Gallery will automatically select dutch translation if it exists (but this all is done by Joomla! language features)

Re: problem on revised nl_NL translation-job
Hi
I resolved the problem of Joomla! not accepting my modified NL-languagefile and have now completed the re-translation of the NL-content; I guess the problem I stated must have been some sort of corrupt lines in the file, after editing content. It's ok now.
I did do a re-translationjob on the NL_nl langaugefile I downloaded from your download-area, date 13-11-2011.
The NL-nl file I downloaded was of a very poor quality level of translation, so I did not want to use it. I actually made changes to approx. 85% of the line-items, also adding new lines from the UK-version, because of lines missing in the original NL-nl file.
I did tests on frontend and backend, and I guess it results in a far better ''NL-translation'' result .
I would like to share the new file; can you point out how to make the new translation available to you?
Regards, Wietze van der Schaaf

Hi, just upload it to some site (e.g. file server) and paste a link here or send me it to my email.
Thank you, Jan
