sort on id but ignoring category

Hi,

is it possible when using the category view to sort on id but ignore the category id ? When now using the sort by id it will show the subcategories under the category id and that isn't what I want, I want a real sort by id ignoring anyhting else

any help is appreciated..

Hi, I don't want to hide the subcategories. I want to show the categories and subcategories and sort the full list on the id

The problem is tree - so some sorting is limited there in case tree (unlimited tree of categories) is used
