Export and inport Guesbook to new site

I wonder how I export my guest book from joomla 1.5 site to my new joomla 1.6 site?

I can't se any function on the guest book settings.

And is it possible to add two guest book in one during an import?

Hi, Joomla! 1.5 and Joomla! 1.6 are completely different systems inside, so there needs to be created some guide to export / import it.

For now I am overloaded with overwriting the extensions to Joomla! 1.6 so not sure If I will time to do such guide

(in short - the database entries of Phoca Guestbook tables should be stored, e.g. via phpMyAdmin, add the missing columns and import it to Joomla! 1.6 database)

Just export the entries table from MyPHPadmin and import it into the new database. It worked for me well and fast several times. Also no problems with upgrade from J1.5.x/PhGb 1.4.x to J1.6.x/PhGb 2.x.

Some how I just get errors when trying to export the guestbook data to the new 1.7.x site from the 1.5.x site.
I get phpmyadmin failures with importing and also the mysql database settings like you are mentioning aren't the same.

What should I do to get this right, is there a more simple way to export en import the data to the new 1.7.x version of the website.
