Phoca Gallery Categories

Technical information----

I am using Joomla 1.5 & installed Phoca Gallery 2.8 last night on my website www.aowanders.com. After the installation it asked me if I wanted to Install or to upgrade because I installed phoca on my site once before a long time ago, but couldn't figure out how to do what I wanted it to do so I moved on. After looking at every other photo gallery option out there I am back, but I need help.

So like I said I installed, but I think I am missing part of the install (or maybe not)

A) I dont have a parameters or options button when I go to Phoco Gallery component in my backend

B) I cant create any categories. I fill out all the boxes and options and when I go to click save or apply it just sits there. I dont have any picasa or didnt' think I did until this morning and even when I fill out those fields and click apply or save again it just sits there doing nothing like I never clicked the button. When I click load Picasa tries to do something, but never finished or I get impatient and finally click Cancel.


I have been to the documentations page and read all about creating and editing categories, but it doesnt tell me anything that I can see as to why this is happening.

a) are you logged in as super administrator to have option to edit parameters?

Yes I am logged in as super administrator in both the front end and back end and still can't create categories or see a parameters/options link on either side

So really no idea what can be wrong there. This is more a Joomla! forum question, why the parameters are not displayed for the component
