This is an feature request which is the results from an other tread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=14559&p=64768#p64768
I want to use the phoca gallery for a site where is is important that user can manage there images just by the front end. Unfortunately it is this way that when a user creates a category or subcategory, there is not at the same time a new directory created where the images are stored on the server. That way all images are uploaded in just one USER folder.. this leads to a mess over time...
So I would like to call for a feature request:
there should be an option that when a categories or subcategories is created- at the came time a directory folder or sub folder is created by the phoca gallery system on the server.

Re: [Feature Request] automated directory folder creation
Hi, added to the feature request list.
I will take a look at it but can be really problematic because of undepentend database and filesystem layer (e.g. if category is deleted, should be deleted the folder too, but what happens if the folder includes images from other category, etc. etc.)

Re: [Feature Request] automated directory folder creation
I´m still have problems with the way phoca gallery deals with new categories...
Here is an other feature request:
It would be very nice if a user creates a new subcategory in the front end, the images would not be stored in the USER folder but in the Folder of the higher-level category of that new subcategory.
