Categories view - thumbnails hidden category not hidden

Hello,

I use the gallery with a category system as shown below:
category 1
Category 1.1
Category 1.1.1
Category 1.1.2 (limited access)
Category 1.2
Category 1.2.1
Category 1.2.2
Category 2
etc.

To link to my gallery I use the "List Of Categories (Categories View)" option. This option shows per category random thumbnails of pictures which are in the subcategories of that category.
The problem is this. For example, when Category 1.1.2 is a category with limited access (only visible when logged in), then this category and its pictures aren't visible. This is ok. But category 1.1 does show thumbnails of category 1.1.1 AND category 1.1.2. And that's not right, because category 1.1.2 has limited access.

In the parameters/options there is an option "Hide Category". I did add the ID of the hidden category, but still the thumbnails of category 1.1.2. are visible in category 1.1

Is this how it should be? Does anyone has a solution how I can manage this?

Hi, which version of Phoca Gallery you are using, this should be solved in latest version.

Hi Jan,

I am using phoca gallery 3.0.2, in combination with joomla 1.7.
I assume you didn't mean that I have to use 3.1.0 beta version?

I saw it is changed in the latest version of the Gallery, so thank you very much. But is it correct that it shows an icon in stead of a thumbnail of the hidden category?

Is it also possible that hidden categories aren't vissible at all, if you're not logged in (so not even an icon)? Or is that already possible.
