Permission - ACL groups

Hello,

I'm very happy because I discovered your gallery... very nice job...

Now I have a problem now and I hope that you can help me.

I use NoixAcl to create groups of users and I would to have something like this:

Group one can see only Sea category (for example)
Group two can see only Mountain category (for example)

I saw in the option of the category that I can decide single users.. but if I have too much users it will be very diffucult...

Is there any trick to do this?

It's not important to use noix acl...

the important is to have the possibility to have groups of users for each gallery...

How can I do this? In db yet if it's not possible inside of joomla..

For now you can use Joomla! groups (public, registered, special) and categories can have permissions for specific users. If you need to create other groups, this needs to be solved first in Joomla! and then you need to modifiy whole ACL in Phoca Gallery (it means everywhere where the code checks for the Joomla! groups and Users, checking of the specific groups needs to be added).

Hey, now its one year ago. Is there a possibility to use the noixacl groups now?
I can see them in the category properties but it doesn't work.
I tried the permissions for specific users. This works only for the users of the first category I set the permissions.
Other users don't get access to any category. ( I use the Phoca Gallery Menu ).

Hi, there are no changes regarding noixacl groups (the accelerated development cycle and existing of different Joomla! systems moved solving (or taking look at it) of some features, issues, etc.
