I have been using the Slideshow Plugin with Joomla 1.5.18 for a while. When I edited my Front Page article, the slideshow stopped working and only shows code now. I've tried to create a new Article with just the slideshow code, as well as an image or gallery code, and both only display code.
How can I troubleshoot what happened to make this stop working?

Hi, mostly if the code is displayed instead of the function, then the plugin is not properly installed, or it is not published, or the code includes errors - e.g. empty spaces, etc.

I thought about uninstalling and reinstalling the plug in...would that hurt any articles that currently have code in them?

When I try to uninstall, I get the following errors:
It was not possible to delete the selected file.: 'phocagallery.php'
It was not possible to delete the selected file.: 'phocagallery.xml'
It was not possible to delete the selected file.: 'en-GB.plg_content_phocagallery.ini'
I also tried to install without first uninstalling and received similar errors.
Is this a permissions issue? Could my host have changed something on the PHP setup?

Hi, yes, this seems like permissions or ownership problem, try to delete the files per ftp e.g.

Re: Edited Article...now only Code shows vs. Images
Hello I am new to all this code topic. I have installed and publish plugin ver. 2.7.1 and phoca gallery ver. 2.8.0 .. Both activated. Myphp shows tables on database.
I have created a new category named artice_img and added pictures to it. I included the suggested code:
{pgslideshow id=1|width=100|height=100|delay=3000|image=M}, and only the code shows on the front end . I am not sure if this is the correct code to use, or I need to do something diferent to reference the category name I created.
Your help will be very apreciated
