IP ban doesn't work

i'm using guestbook 1.4.4 on joomla 1.5 and have noticed that the IP-ban isn't working?
i have someone with the same IP spamming regularly my guestbook although his IP is entered in the IP-banlist in the administration
What's the solution

Hi, testing now and everything is working Ok.

Try to test if the IP is right added, if the separator is OK and if you have set it in parameters in menu link to guestbook:

I did everything you said, but IP-ban still doesn't work, i still get messages from one and the same IP, although that IP is set in the parameters in the menu link to guestbook

Is there any solution?

Hi, I am testing now on different servers and everything is working ok for me so really no clue advice there

I don't know if you can find out anything about the IP-address which is spamming my guestbook?

Hi, I don't know any information about the IP, normally the IPs can be faked, so this can be normal ip abused by spammers (identifying people by IP is in fact not real and effective solution )

I have the same problem actually ...One IP address persist to post spam on my guestbook ...

I updated the two list of the Ban Ip and the separator is ; ...

I can give the IP adress in private message ...

Hi, really no idea what can be wrong there:

- I have retested it now on cca 7 sites with different IPs and working ok (one of the site highly visited by robots and spam humans).
- the phoca guestbook was rechecked for all inputs into database (there is only one - checked for type of input field, through JFilterInput (Joomla! filter method), HTML Purifier, session values, etc. etc.)

Yes, you can write me with PM the login to your admin to see if this is correct and I can test it there.
