Thumbnail Generating

Hi,

When I try to create thunbnails, this message appears and I can not do anything anymore:

(Re)generating of thumbnails is running now, please wait...

Somebody knows what is going wrong?

Hi, maybe then there is an error while working on next image, such error can be dispalyed below this box in case php error reporting is enabled.

Or maybe try to check, if there is no redirect problem on your server or browser (some limitation for redirects)

I do not really understand what I should see now.

Seems like the screen does not refresh during creating thumbnails.

Hi, then try to recheck the redirecting features on your server/browser.

In case it is ok, the redirecting stopped because of some error - which must be found - in error reporting or in errorLog on the server.

Hi,

I have similar problem with generating thumbnails. I have message "Phoca Gallery is creating thumbnail(s) now. Please wait.."
And it is creating, creating.... and do nothing. Folder with thumbnails is empty, I can do only stop generating thumbnails then option "permit generating thumbnails" in prefences of Phoca swith into off.
I checked GD library is enable, php version is 5.2.16, I use joomla 1.5.22.
In my panel in error log I found something like this:
File does not exist: /home/kumi/public_html/404.shtml, referer: http://mysite.com/administrator/index.p ... cagallerys
File does not exist: /home/kumi/public_html/images/phocagallery/myphotos/thumbs/phoca_thumb_s_YrQvzkDySwJjxqnlvLqwPPBk_FysvxmPyzZBXDubDkSPhoEooXDO_16_7701a.jpg, referer: http://mysite.com/administrator/index.p ... cagallerys
This error appears in log after click in "stop generating thumbnails".
Also I changed chmod folder "thumb" into 777 but it is still the same. Somebody knows what is wrong?

Hi, this seems like the script cannot write files on the server:

- try to check the ownership of files and folders (not only permissions)
- all functions from GD, if they are running ok
- try to enable ftp layer (or disable)
- in parameters for Phoca Gallery, try to enable/disable JFile method to write the thumbnails on the server

When connect via ftp in properties of files/folder it show me that I'm the ownership(my account name). I configurated the same account in ftp layer in joomla so it should be the same ownership.
I check GD information and got information:
GD Support enabled
GD Version bundled (2.0.34 compatible)
FreeType Support enabled
FreeType Linkage with freetype
FreeType Version 2.2.1
GIF Read Support enabled
GIF Create Support enabled
JPG Support enabled
PNG Support enabled
WBMP Support enabled
XPM Support enabled
XBM Support enabled

It looks fine for me.

When I disable ftp layer I have error from start, it doesn't even try to generate, so I switch to enable.
When I switch JFile method parametr into disable I have error too.
While it's generating (or trying) thumbnails, change last part of address into for example:
com_phocagallery&view=phocagallerys&imagesid=e0995ee86ea741a7eb87628e206a6bd5,
7e1bb8f95bf558135a47156cad7e749d, 01196da93f6ab56a3e231deabcae39f3
But I suppose it's normal.

Hi, yes the sid is Ok, it is only here to display the right image (prevent from bac cache behaviour in browser) so really no idea what other problem there can be
