Default category for user front end upload

Hello there.

First of all, thanks a lot for this awesome plugin that has been pretty useful for my portal.

Now my question is if it's possible to set a default category for the user front end page for upload images. I've readed a lot of posts and it seems to be possible by settings category permissions for registered users. I've tried some combinations but still can't figure it out how to make it work. I don't want every user creates its own category, with subcategories creation there is no problem.

I'm using Phoca Gallery with Joomla 1.5.

Hi, you can set the category for every user - as every user needs a main category - in backend:
