COMPONENT Slideshow?

Hello, I feel sort of silly asking this. I've searched the forum and I keep finding info on the slideshow plugin. I understand that i can use the plugin to display a slideshow in an article.
My question is, is it possible via the settings to set up the gallery to default to a category SLIDESHOW, ior rotator, automatically, without having to click on an image? The switch option is the closest i've been able to come.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, no, for now there is no such option, for this some plugin or module must be used
