How to delete file ?

Hi,

I have read some informations about a problem I have but I have not found any answer so I ask directly : I have upgraded to the 2.0.0 version and I also have installed the Button Plug-in 2 ... but it still wondering how the users of the web site can delete a file(s) they uploaded when they do not want it to be downloaded anymore .... Is there any optional plugin to remove files?

I have read in the documentation about PhocaDownload this information about the configuration :

Delete Existing Files - (Yes | No) If yes then the file stored on server will be deleted in case the file will be deleted from Phoca Download

So i asked myself ... How could they delete the file from PhocaDownload .... ???

Hi, you can delete the files in file manager, the filenames (information about the files in Phoca Download Files - because there are two independent layers - database and file layer)

User in frontend are not able to delete files which they uploaded, this is planned feature.

Thanks Jan,

Actually I erase files through the admin panel as you say but I have 60 users, each one with his own files and it not very easy to manage ... So I think it would be a great feature and very usefull to let them delete their own files !

If a file cannot be deleted, what am I to do if I'm given a new version of an existing PDF to post on the website? Can I "replace" an existing file with a new one of the same name?

Yes, this is possible, needs to be set in parameters.

Hi,

I have seen the 2.0.1 version of Phocadownload is ready. Do you know if the users in frontend are now able to delete the files they have uploaded if they need it ?

Hi,

I have just upgrade to the 2.1.1 version and I see users can delete files from frontend but what do I have to do to activate it? I can not click on the Delete ico (it is in grey color).
