Problem with XML-File

Hello,

i've tried to install Phoca Gallery 3.0 in a Joomla 1.6.4 in my webspace. After uploading the Zip-File, I've got the following message:

JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
JFolder: :files: Path is not a folder. Pfad; /xxx/httpdocs/components/c​om_phocagallery
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file

What is the meaning of this message?
Under this message, I saw the Install-Button of Phoca-Gallery.

After a re-login, I can't find Phoca Gallery in the menu.

What have I to do?

Hi, check the server settings, if they meet all the requirements for Joomla! running.
Try to check permissions and ownership on your server.
Try to install it per ftp:
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/16-joomla ... -in-joomla

Hello Jan,

ok, so far.

After klick on the Install-Button, i see two messeges:
1. Error building Admin Menus (in red)
2. Die Komponenten-Installation wurde erfolgreich abgeschlossen! --> "The installation was successful" (in blue)
Does message 1 any matter to use the gallery? All my folders are writable.
Also I can't see any menusitems (probably because the installation routine could not create any menu-items (see message 1).
