AutoResize uploaded Pictures

Hi,

is there a way to autoresize the uploaded pictures. As i can see this must be done before uploading. Is that right ?

This doesn't directly address your question (I've never seen an option to resize, other than the very useful thumbnail creation capability), but my experience is that resizing before uploading reduces upload time and disk space on server (and hence server backup sizes).

Hi,

your abolutely right regarding upload time and server usage, but there are users ouside which don't know how to resize a lot of picture automatically at once.

So is there a possibillity or not ? I've seen other gallery whith support of these feature, but most of them doesn't support Joomla 1.6 and phoca gallery works like a charm

Hi, you can use Java Upload feature, which then will resize the images before upload on your PC.
