Problem with creating thumbnails

Hi i am having trouble generating thumbnails, i have followed documentation and everything goes fine it creates about 3-4 thumbnails then seems to stop and leaves the rest blank. the folder only has about 12 images in it , im using gallery vers 3.0.1, i have had all the pictures on the server before using a different gallery so i dont think size is the problem, thanking you in advance for any help.....chris

i am using Phoca Gallery from last 2 years in Godaddy hosting everything is working super good .


now i have my own server and on one of my domain i install phoca gallery it went all well i can make categories and then i can upload images but when it come to create the thumbnail it just show this line at the right Conner of my screen "Stop Thumbnails Creation" now i try my super best and try to learn what is this error but i am unable to resolve it it but after allot of Google i found out that Stop Thumbnails Creation is an error some what GD or something


more in process of generating thumbnail it just create first images thumbnail but after that ll white or blank you can say i am attaching both screen soot thanks.

Hi, the thumbnail creation is disabled and should be enabled in parameters.

sorry these are screen shoots when i didn't on thumbnails back but i know how to on and i did online it again but same problem once i start generating the thumbnails and this RED color are megs "Stop Thumbnails Creation" but i don't see any bar that shows ok now phoca gallery creating the images .

where as in Godaddy hosting everything working super good.

Hi, then you need to enable php error reporting to see which php error you get there, if the script is stopped, the link is there to deactivate the loop of thumbnails creation - mostly there is some php error displayed but the php error reporting must be on:

Thanks jan i am trying to learn and go through this error report setup ,
but mean while i am using google Picasa Albums to display my products so far it is working in just blink of second everything goes working but some issues are like it is slow and it take some time to loads and more some time some images are not coming this is just to inform you that Picasa Album are working now thing is this about error reporting i am not sure about it yet .
my site link is http://www.dupak.net please do check what i am doing wrong and if you can help me setup this error reporting i can give you my passwords as i really need to have Phoca Gallery working in this server case i am thinking to convert all my sites on this server and with phoca i can think to do this conversion.

this error reporting went way over my head lolz anyhow i am trying what i can do about it .

i fixed it .

actually in one of site that i had the developer ask me to do something for .ioncube

while i was tying this i On this option in my Server > Tweak Settings > PHP >
none default
ioncube
sourceguardian
oldsourceguardian


i set this open to ioncube and just now i made it non default , i have no idea what does it do but i fixed the problem on this can you help me what i just did >?

Hi Jan

i've got the same problem like shown with sceenshots above.

My Error-Message is the following:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 52428800 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 13824 bytes) in /var/www/xxxxx/xxxx/xxx/administrator/components/com_phocagallery/libraries/phocagallery/image/imagemagic.php on line 214

Any ideas what to do?

Problem is solved:

After upgrading to 64MB everything works fine. But I can not explain why so much space is neccessary!?

Hi, your GD library on your server needs memory to create an image (thumbnail), this is not so easy so it needs some memory.
