Installing gallery 3.0.0 rc4 gives 'error creating menus'

Hmmm, really no idea, this is a question on forum.joomla.org as Joomla! installs the component

Had the same issue with Admin Menu creation in Joomla 1.6 and PhocaGallery.
Uninstalled and re-installed v3.0.1 beta.
Same problem again

Ran phpMyAdmin after a second uninstall and found 12 matches inside table jobi_menu

I deleted the 12 matches and re-installed PhocaGallery

Problem with Admin Menu creation solved.

I agree with you on the Joomla issue. PhocaGallery is just the passenger although I assume that the Joomla Uninstall reads an XMl file.

Although I wonder why we waited a long time for 1.6 then suddenly a jump to 1.7Alpha.
Sounds like some serious issues in Joomlaville to take a full point rather than 1.6.01 etc

Keep up the great coding. On my 35 domains it is the gallery of choice.
