Hi all.
I have successfully migrated all the files and categories from docman to Phoca Download but i'm having an issue with upload when selecting categories all the categories are messed up.
For example when u select categories in docman u can clearly see what category is subcategory. In Phoca Download all categories are there but messed up.
My main categories are 14 and lots of lots subcategories. All folders created are 521. That looks a big mess in frontend upload.
U can see it here http://213.135.160.109/index.php/login
login with
user: test
pass: test
Is there a way to make them more like docman selection
Tnx in advance.

Re: Upload Selection of Categories
In front end upload u cant see what categories are subcategories of another. There is no category tree.
Log in and ull see what i mean. Go to select category.

Re: Upload Selection of Categories
If there is no category listed, it means, there is no category where the user have permissions to upload, in administration in category edit, you need to set the permissions to upload there for the user (users)

Re: Upload Selection of Categories
Oh man sorry English is not my native language u cant understand me so ill try to explain it as good as i can.
1. This has noting to do with permissions to categories.
2. It has to do with ordering and style
3. Its all about how users can get around the categories when uploading files. U see as i sad i have 8 main categories an lots of subcategories and even more sub-subcategories.
So here how selection of categories when user is uploading looks like in docman

And here is how they look in PhocaDownload.

So u see in Docman when a user wants to upload ...lets say Two And a Half Man episode from season 1 he can easily find the two and a half man category and the subcategory for season 1.
In phocaDownload everything is messed up and there is no subcategory indication. If i want to find season 1 for two and a half man i cant because there is lots of season 1 subcategories for other Series.
Dont get me wrong i love PhocaDownload much more then docman. But im stuck with it and jooma 1.5 only for this problem.
I think this makes it clearer.
Thx in advance.

Re: Upload Selection of Categories
Hi, now I see what you mean, the problem is the tree, now you get only categories where you have rights, but if you should load the tree, you need to load all categories, making the tree and then filter the categories which you have rights to upload.
The problem is the performance of the server and of the tree, if there is a lot of categories which needs to be set into tree, this can stop the script working or slow down the server.
Anyway, added to feature request list, I will take a look at it(e.g. with adding some parameter - to load the tree)

Re: Upload Selection of Categories
Hi, there was a tree but it did not work as expected. Because in Phoca Download you can set different access rights to different categories, this was in conflict (running tree + access check)
