Upload photos without having to log in

Hi,
I’ve setup the Phoca Gallery Category layout and I’m trying to get it so that no one has to create an account or login in order to upload photos to that 1 category. I have set the permissions to the Phoca Gallery folder and the Category folder to 777 so every one has access. I also did that in the parameters as well. I went through the backend to the category and set:

- access level = public
- access right = All Registered Users
- upload and add user rights = All Registered Users
- delete and publish = All registered users
- owner = nobody

Can you please tell me what I’m missing in order to get the upload working without logging in.

Hi, to be able to upload images into Phoca Gallery, you need to be logged in, see:

Thanks for the quick reply. Is there a way to rewrite the code of you component so that this is possible. My main concern is that requiring everyone to create an account may frustrate a lot of people and in turn miss there photo that they wanted to upload.

Hi, I think not uploading or adding something without logging in is very risky and can be made by some large servers like imageshack but I think such function cannot be implemented into opensource as we are living is spam time, and many users do not think about possible risk of such upload for server. So such dangerous feature should be only customized, I think.
