Subcategories like categories view ?

Hello,

I have a few main categories but many sub categories within each main category.
My question is how can I display the list of sub categories like the view in main categories as a list, not as thumbs.

Is that anyhow possible?

Ok list of subcategories works, it is possible view subcagories with detail information? - "Categories, Images and detail information" like in this picture? I

Thank you Jan for answer, I have set It - it works for categories but it doesnt for subcategories. I want have a same look for all galleries - in categories and subcategories too. I tested it but in subcategories - I had only two looks list and icons (thumbnails).

You need to enable displaying subcategories in categories view, but in category view there is no such design (set the categories view in category view)
