Hello,
We found your Phoca Gallery very usefull, thanks,
But when we setup a picasa album / category the Detail views are very slow ( 2 minutes for one picture)
The import works, in the administrator panel we kan view the image in detail.
But in the frontpanel when the default Modal box (default) is selected this is to slow.
The other shadowbow , slimbox and Jakbox are working in the front
We use Joomla 1.6.3 in combination with Poca Gallery 3.0.0.RC5
I found that the Funtion Imagerotation is disabled on my debian box, this could be something but all local albums are displayed fast. So maybe it seems nothing to do with that.
Any help is great, thanks
henry

Hi, if you are using Picasa, then in detail window the image is loaded from the Picase, but no expereiences and no idea why the loading of image from picasa should be slowly by some methods only ... hmmm

Re: Modal box in combination Picasa is slow
Hi Jan,
Its strangs, but I found someting that is related to it.
I my server is direct connected for IP4(native) connections and for IP6 connected via a tunnel over the IPv4 connection.
Most trafic is IP4 and I though this is acceptable compromis.
But I discoverd that some IP6 traffic got very long delay's till a ip4 connection takes over the ip6.
So I got in to this found the firewall was out of order. After this repair it works much faster but could be faster because the picase traffic goes throug my tunnel (I think, is this treu ?).
What I have to look for to give IP4 traffic a higher priority than ip6. Some sugestion ? (debian lenny)
In some way the shadowbow , slimbox and Jakbox handle DNS lookups in a different way.

Thanks Jan,
This was an ip6 connection issue and trun out when your server speaks aswel ip4 as ip6 .
I managed to give ip4 some priority in case of trouble
For those who are interested edit /etc/gai.conf and insert folling line
precedence ::ffff:0:0/96 100
