Multiple upload noob question

Hallo!
The behaviour of my Phoca isn't so, as described in the documentation. Documentation says:

You can select the images or folder you want to add to the gallery here. If you select a folder and this folder contains subfolders and images, Phoca Gallery creates Category from selected folder, Subcategory from included subfolder and adds all the included images into this Category (Subcategory).

But if i try to add a folder, the file browser not allow me to choose the folder, but navigate me to subfolders and further to images.
I'm only able to upload folder with subfolders with images with ftp
What is my mistake at multiple upload?

maybe i gave few data to let somebody answer...so, i use latest Joomla (1.5.23) and latest Phoca Gallery (2.7..

I get only one error alert there: if i choose the flash upload tab, i get folowing error alert from my firefox:

Fehler: $("upload-clear") is null
Quelldatei: http://my domain.de/administrator/index.php?option=com_phocagallery&view=phocagallerys#
Zeile: 23

and the flash uploader (each button) is without function - pressing buttons does nothing.

If i use java uploader i can indeed get the fotos into Phoca, but... all images go into the main folder i choose on the top of the page (second setting from the top on the page). I mean, this luxury thing with keeping folder/subfolder structure by uploading isn't here, all into same bunch, cry cry.

As i said earlier, this art of function isn't so, as documentation said. What the hell i do wrong?

Hi, first you need to upload images (flash upload has some problems with newest flash plugins - see more info in this forum), you can upload images to every folder you want - then after upload you need to add the images to the system - you select the category or you add the whole folder and from folder the category will be created.

sorry, i still don't understand: i have locally a folder with subfolders with images inside. what i must do on the "multiple add" to put my local foler structure into Phoca?

You mean, i must first duplicate manually my local nesting structure, then upload images into each created folder and subfolder, where the images belong to, and then save all created folders and uploaded images into the choosen Phoca category?

On this way i got in fact all my images and folders/subfolders structure successfully into choosen category, but... is it a way here without a manual mirroring local structure and i again misunderstood you?

If you have some folder structure, you don't need to select category, as the categories will be created from folders and subfolders
