Sharing categories between multiple users

Hi

I have a site where all registered users must be able to upload to all categories (shared). This does not seem to be possible in Phoca Gallery. Somehow a user is assigned only a single category and cannot see any other categories!
Is there any way to bypass the single-category policy? I have read some other posts, where the solution seemed to be not to set an owner for the categories and set alle levels of access to registered user. This does NOT work, the users can still only see one category (or none at all if they aren't owners of a category). Please help! Phoca Gallery har everything except this very important feature!

Hi, users can upload to categories where they have rights to do it, so every user can have right to upload to every category (in category view), see:
