Thumbnail for parent category when using Picasa not showing

Hi,

I have two questions.

1. When I have a category(no images) that contains other categories(with images), i dont see a (random) thumbnail image for the first category(folder icon instead) when using Picasa. However when using PhocaGallery image upload, it does show random thumbnails for that category. I have used the correct settings in preferences I think.

Example:
Category1 = '2010', Category2 = '2010 > Party1', Category3 = '2010 > Party2'.
Using Picasa: No random thumbnails for '2010'.
With PG image upload: Random thumbnails for '2010' from the categories '2010 > Party1' & '2010 > Party2'.

Is it possible to have random thumbnails working when using Picasa?

Hi,

1) yes this is known issue, this is due the images are stored on other server so it is inpossible (possible but will a lot of memory resources) to detect if there is some image in subcategory - search more in this forum
