Site down after installation HELP!

Post by mikekay »

Hi. I just installed phoca gallery. Something bad happened. I am pretty new to Joomla so troubleshooting this myself is difficult.

I am locked out ot the site and all pages are down. Here is the error messages:
When you try to load a page:PLG_PHOCAGALLERY_ERROR - PLG_PHOCAGALLERY_COMPONENT_NOT_INSTALLED

When I try to disable the plug in, I get the following error: Warning: require_once(/home2/channelk/public_html/administrator/components/com_phocagallery/libraries/loader.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/channelk/public_html/plugins/content/phocagallery/phocagallery.php on line 20

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home2/channelk/public_html/administrator/components/com_phocagallery/libraries/loader.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib64/php:/usr/lib/php') in /home2/channelk/public_html/plugins/content/phocagallery/phocagallery.php on line 20

Stuck BAD here. How can I fix this? Any help most appreciated.

Somebody's got to have an idea what went wrong here. If you can help in any way, please make suggestions. Why is the site trying to load phoca gallery anyway? I have never had a plugin do this before. I can't even disable it.

I am stuck until I get a response here. Is there a phone number I can call somebody at to get help?

Holy panic. I have not had the installation of a plug in bring a site down before. I installing Phoca modules until I got the right one. My site is now working again, and I can get on with things.

I still wonder what happened?

Hi, if you have installed some Phoca Module which needs to have included the main Phoca Component, then the system writes you, you need to install the Phoca Component (the strings were not translated, e.g. because of missing Phoca Gallery translation)
