Let users "own" more than one categorie from backend

Hello Phoca team,

I read a lot about making it possible for users to create more than one main categorie in frontend.

Since 2009 people have been posting several topics about this issue.

Still i found no solution for it but this is some very important feature for me and a lot of other phoca webdesigners.

In my case I want people to add images in backend created (more than one) categories, add new main categories by aproval of administrator, add subcategories in all main categories. The in backend created categories are standard for all users in which they can add images or to add subcategories to upload images.

I would like to give the users unlimited permission of posting images and categories.

Can Phoca team provide a solution for this at the moment?

Hi, for now I have no solution for this, the whole year 2010 + 2011 I have spent and now spending with overwriting all the extensions to work in Joomla! 1.6 so adding new features was moved. I hope I will finish it soon (but maybe, the 1.7 will change the framework too, so then I will need to overwrite again ) So for now I cannot say when I will do it (overwriting it to 1.6 really took and take me all my free time resources )

Hello Jan,

Thanks for your reply but unfortunately you have no great news.

This feature will be asked for a lot in the future I think.

I wil have an other developer for Joomla to take a look at it. If he can find any solution for joomla 1.6 I will let you know!
