Entries put into Phoca Guestbook are being shortened when they appear online. I've raised the character limit so it's not that. What could cause this?

Hi, you can set it in parameters, there is a protection (because of database security), so you can set how many characters (include html code characters) can be stored to dabase (a limit), so just increase it in parameters

Thanks for the reply, Jan, but as I mentioned I tried that. Even if I set the limit to something very high like 500 characters the number of characters stored is very much shorter. I don't see any other parameters to try.

Hi, did you set it in parameters component in menu link to guestbook.

Do you count the "hidden" html code too: "abc" does not include 3 characters but 10 ("<p>abc</p>")

Re: Posts cut off
OK, I think that's it. I increased the number of characters to a large number (400) and still had short entries (for example, one is cut off at 136 characters). Adding a few html tags wouldn't make much difference. But I just checked one and it has all kinds of junk tags in it, especially many <span> tags around almost every wordfor no apparent reason. The total including html codes is over 400.
So that's the problem. Thanks very much for your help Jan. And for the great components.
