problems in version 2.0.0 RC2

Post by sanderl »

I've installed Phoca Guestbook 2.0.0 RC2, but I'm having some problems:
* Phoca Guestbook doesn't show in components, I only can enter the guestbook if I add http://websitename/joomla/administrator/index.php?option=com_phocaguestbook in the URL, how can I add this to Components?
* When I try to type smileys, it only displays the textname given to the smiley (in stead of a smiling face, it says 'Smile'

Any solutions?

Hi, this is a problem with creating admin menus in Joomla! 1.6 - try to search google "joomla error creating admin menu", there are different joomla extensions developer sites, where this is discussed (on different forums there are different guides, which can help), try to search this forum too.

Okay, I'll search for it later. The guestbook is working, only difficult to go to the control panel of it.
But my smiley issue is still there... Any idea's about that?

No idea there, in such case, there is some wrong way to the images - wrong path, try to check if all files were installed while Joomla! installation correctly?
