Category thumbnail size

Hi,

my thumbnails are very small, 50x50. I'd like them to be displayed in 100x100. As far as I have understood, the respective setting is in Options, Categories View Settings (List of Categories). I have there set "Medium with shadow". At the bottom of the options, under Images and Windows Size Settings I have 800x600 for large, 100x100 for medium and 50x50 for small. When I set 100x100 for small there, and recreate thumbnails, I get 100x100 thumbnails, but without shadow or frame.

Shouldn't with my settings (Medium with shadow for category, 100x100 for medium images) the category thumbs be displayed in 100x100?
