moving everything under new top category

Post by TauTau »

Hi,

I want every category I have now to be under a new top category. I created the new category, and then changed every existing category to be below that top category. Afterwards I don't see any category at all, gallery is completely empty. Of course I published the new top category. Is there anything else I should look at?

Hi, where do you not see the categories?

on the site... even when I only create that new top level category, it's not visible in the Frontend (I guess that's the initial problem), so when I move the existing categories below the new one, they also vanish...
(btw, how can I change my emailadress in the forum? There's an old one, so I don't get post updates...)

maybe this thread should be renamed to "New top level category doesn't show", as this is essentially what happens ;)

found it finally... since there were no images in that new category, I had to switch on "show empty categories". Interesting, though, that this also counts when there are subgalleries that actually *have* images in them...
