Re: Not a valid image
hi,
i have the same problem, while uploading images.
There are no problems with other subdomains using phoca gallery (under J1.5)!
Now i want to test Joomla 1.6 with phoca gallery component. There i cant upload images, using phoca. The message is: Not a valid image!
When I uploaded images with the media manager, it works a littlebit: i see only white pics with no content.
maybe look here: http://ingewolf.minna-server.de/index.php/phoca-test
My settings in J1.6 php configuration is: "upload_max_filesize 12M".
I have much thanks for help!
nice greets from germany

Re: Not a valid image
Hello,
thanks for interesting in my problem!
i try to upload a
*.gif with 17,1 KB and a resolution of 200*202px and a
*.jpg with 27,0 KB and a resolution of 604*435px.
The result is always: "Not a valid image"
When i start upload the picture with phoca, the Upload File is labeled with: [ Max Size: 0 B, Max Resolution: 3072 x 2304 px ].
I have no idea to solve this problem
In my "Phoca Gallery Info" all is green, like recommended. My current version is 3.0.0 RC4.
with best regards

Re: Not a valid image
Hi, the file formats should be ok, try to check the settings, if there is standard limit to upload (seems like it is set to 0)

Re: Not a valid image
hi,
i was changed to 0 because i want have no limit for uploads in phoca.
The owner and the group of the ".../httpdocs/images/phocagallery" is www-data (apache) and chmod is 755!
Is there a problem?
What did you mean with :
Is there something else apart of Phoca and PHP-Settings, which reduce or block uploading in J1.6?
Can a reinstall help?

Do you use J1.6?
I detect, when uploaded pictures with the Joomla-Media-Manager i can download the correct pic using the phoca-download-button in the gallery.
still i cant see thumbnails or the detail view of any pictures.
