How to remove folder "avatars"?

Hi, I need to delete the folder "avatars", try removing the folder from the media manager, but the folder is still showing , and I would not look to the public.

Hi, then try to remove it by FTP. Depends on which permissions and ownership had the Joomla! while installing Phoca Gallery.
