Hi,
I have the phocadownload 1.36 installed in my site. But its in eng. I just wanna install the pb-BR language. But the instructions say that i have to "prepare" the package before i install.
So what can i do to modify the language of my already installed phocadownload? Where is the phocadownload language file location in my site, so can i modify manualy some texts"?
thks

Re: pt-BR language installation problem
All phoca extensions language files are located in the folders written above.
There is already an translation pt-BR for Phoca Download 1.3.6 with detailed explanation in the Orientacoes de Instalacao.txt how to make it functional. You can't have pt-BR in /languages/pt-BT if u not install it. All extensions are released only with en-GB languages and after installing Phoca Download or Gallery, u can found the language files in en-GB only.

Dude. I just wanna change a simple text where its says "Most downloaded files" i wanna display in my language.
So what i gonna do? Uninstall phoca download so i reinstall it again with my pt_BR "patch" on it? If i unninstal my folders(with my files?) my files will be there and ll survive the new installation? I just wanna to know where is the file that phocadownload reads the texts.
I ve already modificated one, but nothing happens.
I don't wanna to create a entire translation. I wanna to keep the language en-GB with some phrases in my language. This is enought to me. Please. I just wanna know where to edit to change some simple texts.
thks again

Re: pt-BR language installation problem
There is no pt-BR patch.
For 1.3
- Download the language, extract the archive, upload both files pt-BR.........ini into /administrator/language/pt-BR and /language/pt-BR
and u are in
For 2.0
- Download Phoca Download 2.0.0 RC
- Extract the zip somewhere
- Enter in language folder
(if u have already language pack for Joomla! 1.6 in pt-BR)
-rename both files in language/en-GB/ to pt-BR.something.sys.ini and pt-BR.something.ini
-Open them with Notepad plus (http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net)
-Click the menu Encoding and select convert to UTF-8
-Translate both files
-Upload them to (twice)
--To administrator/language/pt-BR
--To language/pt-BR and overwrite all
(there is no need for uninstalling any Phoca Extension, even for the update u don't need to uninstall)
For 2.0 (without having pt-BR Joomla 1.6 translation)
- Download Phoca Download 2.0.0 RC
- Extract the zip somewhere
- Enter in language folder
-Open them with Notepad plus (http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net)
-Click the menu Encoding and select convert to UTF-8
-Translate both files
-Upload them to (twice)
--administrator/language/en-GB
--language/en-GB
