Can't Uninstall Phoca Gallery

I can not uninstall Phoca Gallery without trashing my site!

I go to Extension > Install/Uninstall > select Components. Then I find Phoca Gallery, select it and hit the uninstall button. It says it has successfully uninstalled Phoca Gallery. All looks great from the Administration interface. But when I go to the web site this is what I get.

If the component is uninstalled, how is it still calling Phoca Gallery?

You have not uninstalled the Phoca Gallery plugin... You go to Phoca Gallery plugin (which is still installed on your system) and this plugin calls the Phoca Gallery component which doesn't exist anymore.

What did you do to solve your problem? I am trying to uninstall phoca gallery, and its not deleting anything.

I go to install/uninstall select phoca gallery and slideshow plugins...

I am getting this error:
It was not possible to delete the selected file.: 'phocagalleryslideshow.xml'

When I mouseover the components, phoca gallery is still there, even though its not on the plugin page to uninstall anymore. I can add phoca pages to the menu. All the phoca modules and pages I added are still visible.

I am trying to do a fresh install to eliminate this error when I click on an image in a category:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method PhocaGalleryRenderFront::getString() in /components/com_phocagallery/views/detail/view.html.php on line 89

I don't know if its a slideshow error, or gallery error... I just want to reinstall and get it to work.

Hi, if you cannot uninstall plugin or module or extension, I think then this is a question on joomla.org forum as installing or uninstalling extensions is done by Joomla! extension manager

On the link I see no error there?
