Trouble installing 3.0 RC3

To the group,

I previously had the 3.0 Beta installed on Joomla 1.6, and tried to upgrade to 3.0 RC3, but each time I try to do this, I get the following errors.

* Component Install: DB function reports no errors
* Failed deleting uninstall.phocagallery.php
* Failed deleting phocagallery.xml
* Failed deleting install.phocagallery.php


I went in and finally cleaned out any related directories, and DB entries, but again had the same problem, any thoughts on this?

Hi, if you have cleaned the info in database, etc. you cannot use upgrade button but you need to use install button (as there are no data for upgrading)

I never get to the Install/Upgrade button. The errors occur at the Joomla Extension Install...

Then maybe some problems with permission or ownership, did you try to check other install methods, e.g. installing from folder?
