Is there a way for a user to edit the description and/or title of existing photos from the front end?
Thanks

Re: front end editing
Thanks, I did see that.
But, can the user, in the UCP, edit titles and descriptions of existing images? or, only those that they upload?

Thanks.
I am confused as to how I give the user front end rights to editing existing photos.
Can you direct me to the correct documentation for this?
Thanks.

Re: front end editing
Hi, the link is above, no other documentation there
, users edit only images where they are owner of them (category owners) and which are listed in UCP.

Re: front end editing
Hi
I have the same issue ... I created galleries (categories) as administrator for some sections of my Website .. But I want that some other users as publishers can do new uploads for those categories and editing the existing images .. But using the UCP options and rights on the backend I only obtains that they did uploads and deliting directly on the categories presentation thru the icons ... but never appears some Icon for editing (just upload, delete, published, authorized and detail).
If I put some publisher user as OWNER for an existing category and invoke the UCP on Frontend I can see the images for editing, but just in UCP .. But Phoca validates just one Main Category per OWNER ... Not many users ...
I tried something without a total positive results... I created a main category as (PRINCIPAL) specifying a publisher user as OWNER .. then I specified it (PRINCIPAL as value) in the PARENT CATEGORY parameter for the rest of categories, trying to appears as SUBCATEGORIES for this user on the UCP in front end, but you have to specified the same user as owner on the subcategories .. With this configuration, the publisher user can edit images thru UCP on FRONTEND ..
I hope this helps to others ..
This solves my issue in 50% because I want a group of publishers to works in the same Categories, but with differents rights for other modules or components on the website, for that reason share the same login user is not an option .. ..
am I doing something wrong and exists some way to do that I want ??
I would put my wish list for phoca team to solves my issue
:
1.- Put the option in UCP Backend to HIDE or DISPLAY edit icon for images in Frontend as Download or Details icons works, or configurating this possibility on Category configuration as Uploading and Deleting options works ... this would give the possibility of publishing of a simple way in the frontend ..
2.- Possiblity of Add User Groups on the Category permission (rights) for Uploading, Deleting and Owner section (and Editing in the future) .. this would give the possibility of have a publishing team for the same sections
thanks ..

Re: front end editing
Has the feature been added where other admins can edit and upload to an existing category made by a super admin? It seems all other gallery software systems allow this but Phoca Gallery. It would be of great benefit if this could happen.
